We’ve all committed this make-up sin at least once… slept with our make-up on! If you were one of the lucky ones then you didn’t wake up with a new friend on your face a.k.a. “the zit”! If you did, then you’ll be one of the wiser ones and not make this mistake again.
I’m aghast every time a client reveals to me that they go to bed with make-up on all the time. WHAT IS GOING ON?! Clogged pores and stained pillowcases can’t be fun. There are a plethora of make-up removers to choose from within everyones price point and they come in all types of fragrances, non-fragrant, skin types and forms (gels, liquids, foam, pads, wipes).
Below you will find a list of make-up removers I have tried, tested & loved over the years.
1.) MAC Wipes – I currently use this to remove my make-up, then as an extra step I follow with my Dermalogica UltraCalm Cleanser. They are great for travel! Swipes away makeup, smudges, dirt and grime, pronto! Oversized, luxurious, super-saturated with special M·A·C cleanser infused with protective vitamin E. Hydrates and nourishes highly efficiently. Extremely refreshing. Totally addictive. Slickly packed, re-sealable, ready to go!
2.) Sephora Instant Eye Makeup Remover – I was pleasantly surprised with this remover. I have sensitive eyes and this didn’t irritate, burn or leave any type of residue on my eyes. I had previously tried Make-up Forever’s Sens’ Eyes Waterproof Sensitive Eye Cleanser and it didn’t work out well for me. I found that it left a stinging effect once I rinsed it off. Just because it didn’t work for me, doesn’t mean it won’t work for you. Everyones skin reacts differently.
3.) Oil of Olay 4-in-1 Daily Facial Cloths – I ALWAYS have these on hand (great for travel). Get the cleansing power of a liquid cleanser, toner, mask or scrub with one cloth. These dual-textured cloths exfoliate for smoother-looking skin in just one week.
